Infoboard: Introducing Channels
Enhancing the Infoboard module by introducing channels — targeted communication, automated publishing and structured information management for different audiences.
Overview
Infoboard is a central internal communication hub. Without channels, users face information overload. Channels segment content by topic, department or audience to deliver relevant updates.
Responsibilities
- Channel models (main/sub), role‑based visibility
- Publishing flows with review and scheduling
- Audience targeting by org units, roles and location
- Subscriptions and notifications (opt‑in/out)
Implementation
- Hierarchical taxonomy, ownership and moderation
- ACL‑based visibility per channel; audit‑safe reviews
- Scheduling and history with transparent change logs
- Integrations with messages/manual; cross‑posting rules
Outcome
- More relevant comms, less noise
- Higher efficiency through automation
- Compliance & traceability with full history
- Better collaboration via clear structure and rights
